Having a strong social media presence is a great way to connect with your customers and build your brand. This is especially important for hospitals because patients often seek out the hospitals they perceive to be the most competent and advanced. Publishing cutting-edge information about new treatments and therapies provides convincing evidence to prospective patients that the hospital they are considering is keeping up with the latest advancements.
Likewise, it’s proven that job seekers expect employers to demonstrate a level of social media acumen. Can a great employee culture be hiding behind a great social media presence? We seem to think so.
Since social media, particularly Facebook, is a critical online aspect of hospitals, the staff at HealthGrad.com went about meddling in Facebook statistics of hospitals around the country. We evaluated over 2600 hospitals sourced directly from U.S. News Best Hospitals report, extracting statistics showing the most Facebook Likes/Fans and Talking About This. Without getting too technical, we simply ranked all hospitals by the overall number of ‘Likes’.
So which hospitals had the most success in building their Facebook profile?
