Follow these guidelines when you submit your articles, and read the FAQs for more specific answers.
Submitting An Article
Address: Submit your completed articles to us. You will receive a response if we are interested in your submission. Our editors will review your submission, and if you are approved as a guest contributor we will contact you as soon as possible, always within 3 business days. If you are not contacted within this timeframe your submission has been declined.
Length: Articles must be 1200 – 2000 words. The average word count per article on our website is 1100.
Format: All submissions should be written in clear, standard English. Articles should be written in a conversational, non-technical tone. Use short paragraphs, which are easier to read on a computer screen. Scan existing articles on HealthGrad.com to gain an understanding of the style and formatting of what we expect.
- Must include bullet points to break up the content.
- Use bold subheadings for long articles. They break up large paragraphs of text.
Promotional Links: Articles cannot have advertorial/promo links in the body and must cite sources throughout the article. You may also simply include your sources at the end of the article.
Bio: Please include a short bio with your Twitter handle and any other contact info. Articles cannot be accepted without a bio.
Topic: Anything within your expertise or interest that’s health education related.
Submitting an Article Already Published
All articles must be original and not posted anywhere else before being accepted.
